Mission statement. The Club is a Socio-philanthropic and non-political organisation

Club Vision:
• To promote unity among members.
• To provide assistance to members as stipulated in the constitution.
• To promote the financial wellbeing of its members through a revolving monthly contribution as agreed by 2/3 majority of the club.
• To promote objective views that will enhance positive social change and advancement of its members and the general society.
• To support family values and promote cohesion

Aims and Objectives

The club will provide psychological and financial support to its members as defined by the club constitution.

Membership
The club is open to any Nigerian of the age of 21 years or older and has at least OND (Ordinary Diploma) irrespective of gender, state of origin or religion.

BACKGROUND OF DE-COMPATRIOT CLUB UK
The inaugural meeting of the club was held at the home of Chief Patrick Ekhator on the 29th of September 2001 by a group of friends who felt the need to come together to give back to the society and to help each other socially.
The names of the members who attended this inaugural meeting included:
Messrs Godwin Agbo, David Eboh, Patrick Ekhator, Julius Odiase, Austine Ikponmwosa, Monday Ugiagbe, John Osazemwinde, Omorgieva Ojo, Promise Igbinedion, Robert Oregbeomwanhia, Peter Ekaria, Chuks Oriakhi and Ehana Erhauyi
Following this inaugural session, the monthly revolving meeting and financial contribution commenced on the 27th of October 2001 at the residence of Mr Godwin Agbo in Oxford.

During this period under review, the club has been involved in a range of activities aimed at meeting the club’s objectives.

These include the following:

• The club invested in shares in some Nigerian Banks.
• The club has given scholarship to residents of some orphanage homes in Nigeria
• The club has organised various symposia, lectures to sensitise and enlighten the public on everyday health issues such as diabetes.

The club has the given awards and certificates to past officers and members for their services to the club.
In addition to the various activities carried out by the club, the immediate families of members have made significant and profound progress over the years.
The club continues to wax stronger despite some challenges and recent COVID-19 pandemic. Kudos to all its members.
